Call for competition n°6

The selected candidates will make their short-films at creative workshops for young African filmmakers in Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso/Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal and Tunisia.
■ fiction, documentary, experimental, animation, from 5 to 10 minutes
■ Timetable: 30 January 2015: registration opens; 15 April 2015: deadline for applications; End April 2015: announcement of the selected projects (2 or 3 per country); May-November 2015: production workshops in each participating country; Beginning of 2016: public screening, final jury at the international Passages conference and production of a “box set”; 2016-2017: screening of the films

■ Organized by Kaïna Cinema and City on the Move with in its international programme “Passages, transitional spaces for the 21st century”, in partnership with the training structures Béjaia DOC, Merveilles production , Les Films de Djabadjah, Premiers Films Production, FIDADOC, 16mm filmes, Suñuy Film and La Caravane Documentaire, with support from AFAC and the department for culture of the French Embassy in Alger.
