Frontière israélo-palestiniene, autoroute 60

SAYA architectural, planning and design. Jerusalem, 2006

The specter of a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the creation of two states is a big challenge to urban planning. In Jerusalem in particular, it is necessary already today to consider the current lane divider as a spine for future connections. SAYA/Design for Change office, in collaboration with palestinian planners, proposes a variation of border projects in a Jerusalem that would belong to both states.
Two parallel lines of a railway giving access to Jerusalem East and West on both sides of the border could be gathered in a same train station. More information
