Making urbanity through passages in the reappropriated expo site in Shanghai

Identify strategic points in a developing area under construction and propose passages of different kinds for construction: more information on the competition

International competition in two phases for young architectural and urban design professionals under 40; workshop in situ in March 2015 et prize of 7000 Euros for the 8 selected teams.

Timetable: November 1, 2014: registrations open; December 31, 2014: deadline for applications (6 pages A3 to upload – www.ivmchina.org.cn); January 15, 2015: announcement of the 8 selected teams; March 13-19, 2015: in situ workshop, public presentation and jury; April, 2015: exhibition

An international action-research program for the construction of in situ “demonstration” passages. Competitions (more information on the competitions in Barcelona, Tours & St-Pierre-des-Corps, Toronto…), academic workshops, research groups, lectures and artistic events culminating in the international exhibition in 2016.
