Last 12 and 13 November 2015 took place the seminar “The public space under the pressure of the transport infrastructure,” organized by IVM Latin America and the Laboratory City and Mobility – CyMlab of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and urban Studies at the Catholic University of Chile.

During two days, South American and European experts exchanged views on the effects generated by the infrastructures in the public space and how to integrate public transport in major urban arteries.
The presentation of case studies in Rosario, Cordoba, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Lima, Medellin, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro has opened the discussion and generated new ideas on the challenges of mass transit “2.0”: linking without separating and opening up urban passages.
This academic and professional meeting was also an opportunity for field visits and discussions with local authorities.
